N. Gladstone Brown

We all have something we can offer people in need, whether it's time, money, or a kind word.  Whenever there’s an opportunity to help others, we should take advantage of it and do something.  I became a lawyer so that I can help people with my education, training, experience and skills.

I graduated from Quinnipiac University School of Law, and worked in the Connecticut Superior Court Clerk’s office, while I waited to take the bar exam.  I passed the bar, and decided to stick around, working in the Family Law section handling divorce, custody, visitation, child support, and post judgment divorce matters.  Additionally, I volunteer as a pro bono attorney with Connecticut Legal Services, Call4Law programs, assisting their clients with legal questions on Family Law topics.

I started this mediation practice because I saw the traditional contested divorce process waste couples time, and financial resources, and how emotionally harmful it was for everyone involved.  "There has to be a better way?"  I wanted to offer an alternative.  And I wanted to be a business owner, creating something that I can build from the ground up.  I also wanted to show my daughters that if you want something bad enough, and you are willing to work at it, despite your fears, you can achieve it.  It may sound a little corny, but, that’s why I did it, and why I still do it.

I am a long time Connecticut resident, now living right outside of Waterbury.

When I’m off the clock, I like to mess around in my garden, watch movies, see a musical, play video games, and hang out with my biggest cheerleader, my wife.
